founder, Mark Stein has been a practicing mediator for
nearly twenty years. He has mediated hundreds of
divorce and custody cases since 1987. His training is
certified by the Academy of Family Mediators.
Through his fifteen-year
career as a mediator of divorce cases, Stein generated an
exhaustive list of the possible issues to be considered by
divorcing couples and a host of options that have been
unearthed by the hundreds of couples that have graced his
office.
The
web now makes it possible to offer this self-guided system
of forms and documents to allow divorcing couples to
complete the process of making the necessary child-related
and financial decisions in an efficient, confidential and
cost-effective way.

graduate of Vanderbilt University, Mr. Stein has been
featured as a mediator on the “Oprah
Winfrey Show” |
and
has testified before the President’s Commission on the
Future of Worker/Management Relations.
As
President of Mediation
First, Kentucky’s first comprehensive
mediation firm, Stein has mediated over two thousand cases
including commercial and personal injury cases, personnel
matters and divorce and custody cases.
As a consultant
for the U.S. Departments of Justice and Education, he has
facilitated the creation of mediation programs in fourteen
states, including three statewide programs. Stein has
also served as a consultant for programs in Dublin, Ireland
and the Cayman Islands.
